Crowns and bridges
Crowns are used to protect and strengthen teeth which are weekend by extensive decay or large fillings. In days of modern dentistry crowns most likely are made of porcelain as they not only maintain the function of teeth but also mimic the natural look of it so no one would be able to tell the difference.
Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth to restore its function and aesthetic. Missing teeth adhere to crowns that are placed on one or more neighbouring teeth, restoring natural smile and allowing to fully maintaining chewing and speaking abilities.

Root Canal Therapy
This treatment is carried out in order to save the tooth when the nerve becomes infected. It is usually carried under local anaesthetic so patients should not experience any pain or discomfort. As a standard a rubber sheet would be used to isolate the tooth from the rest of the mouth, not only to prevent re-infection of the canals but also provide maximum comfort for the patient by isolating him from the treatment. In some cases root canal treatment may have to be carried out by specialist, if necessary our team would recommend one and assist with the whole referral process.

Veneers/ Lumineers
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail.
Veneers can improve:
1. Discoloured teeth
2. Chipped tooth
3. Small gaps
4. Slight misalignment of teeth
LUMINEERS are contact lens-thin and are placed over existing teeth without having to remove painful tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers.) LUMINEERS is the painless, permanent cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discoloured or misaligned teeth.
TMJ problems are caused by an orthodontic situation where teeth are not aligned properly. Symptoms of dysfunction may be misleading and present as:
Headaches
Pain behind the eyes
Pain from the temples or the back of the neck
Facial pain after a car accident or assault
Tooth clenching or tooth grinding at night
Shoulder pain
Painful or clicking jaw joints
Migraine
Fillings which keep on breaking
Crowns which keep falling out
Above symptoms may be misleading and many of our clients sought help from osteopaths, physiotherapists, even psychiatrists. Some found it helpful others didn’t. Targeting the symptoms, without eliminating the cause of the problem, may only bring a short term relief.
There are various ways of targeting and eliminating the problem and harmonizing the bite.

Facial Aesthetic and Skin Rejuvenation
Softening and lifting deep and fine lines to create a more energised look
Restoring volume in the midface to create cheeks and provide a more youthful look, drawing attention back to the eyes
Smoothing and toning the skin to banish niggly ageing lines and counter the effects of sun damage
We all know that healthy, toned skin, free from niggling lines and imperfections, is key to looking our very best – whatever our age! And of course: the better we look, the better we feel.
But maintaining this vitality becomes more of a challenge as we grow older. There are some things that diet and good skin care cannot tackle - in particular loss of volume in the skin that causes deep ageing lines. Anti ageing creams may smooth the surface of the skin but facial lines occur at a much deeper level. So if creams are no longer living up to their promise and surgery seems like a step too far, Restylane is probably the ideal treatment for you.
With instant and predictable results, Restylane is the UK’s leading dermal filler, based on a unique form of hyaluronic acid (a natural substance found in our skin). Restylane is injected into the skin to deliver action where it is needed. It boosts the skin’s hydration system and replenishes the skin to restore youthful volume and delay the signs of ageing. The Restylane range consists of 6 products, each tailored to your individual treatment needs.

Inman Aligner
The Inman Aligner is a fantastic, simple and hassle-free way of straightening your front teeth. It is the orthodontic treatment of choice for adult relapse.
In the past anyone with crooked teeth have had only a few choices. Fixed braces and clear braces work well but are slow and can also be costly.
Because of this many people choose to have porcelain veneers instead. This often involves heavy grinding of the teeth to get them into the right position first. As a result many patients choose to do nothing and just live with it.
However the Inman Aligner now gives us all a very real alternative. Because it works so quickly and efficiently, if you don't like the idea of having brackets stuck to your teeth or waiting months and months for a clear brace to work, you can now have your front teeth straightened in as little as 6 -16 weeks.
This also means that anyone considering veneers to align their teeth now has a far more conservative solution. You might not even need veneers at all.
Even if veneers are absolutely necessary because your teeth are so discoloured and mis-shapen, the Inman Aligner the perfect way to align the teeth first quickly before the veneers are prepared. This way you can get a far more conservative solution.
The Inman Aligner is not just an orthodontic appliance. Many cosmetic dentists are calling it the "missing link between orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry."
It has also been described as the "Greatest Innovation in Cosmetic Dentistry since the porcelain veneer".
Not every case is possible and of course there are limitations, but if you are suitable you could get a fantastic smile in a matter of weeks and at far less cost.

Sedation
Sedation is a very relaxing and pleasant way to have dental treatment done.
It makes time fly so a very long procedure, such as complicated crown and bridge work, root canal treatment or placement of dental implants will seem to have taken only a short time to a sedated patient whereas it may have taken many hours.
Once your sedationist begins to inject the sedative medication most patients remember very little if anything of the rest of their visit to the dentist and so sedation is particularly good if you need to have a potentially ‘unpleasant’ procedure done.
Sedation is also suitable for even the most anxious patients; in fact many patients who have always had a general anaesthetic for their dental treatment say they prefer IV sedation as they feel so much better afterwards!
Our sedationist
Andrea believes in the holistic approach to pain and anxiety control in dentistry and is happy to discuss cases and advise on the most suitable management strategies in order to provide safe and effective anxiety and pain control.

TMJ pain relief
Bite and Body in Harmony
New Harmony Between Bite and Body: TMJ Pain Relief and Treatment with Aqualiser Dental Splints
The Aqualizer’s™ revolutionary fluid system creates perfect bite balance and stability through a minimally invasive approach to TMJ treatment. It works by allowing the muscles themselves to automatically reposition the jaw to where it naturally works best. For TMJ pain relief, restoring this balance is essential.
Unlike other available dental splints, the Aqualizer™ self-adjusting oral splint is a TMJ treatment which allows the body to unravel bite distortions and establish optimal systemic function and balance. The Aqualizer™ takes the uncertainty out of TMJ diagnosis and treatment. While other dental splints and TMJ treatment options can distort the jaw, causing TMJ pain, the Aqualizer™ facilitates relief through ideal occlusion automatically and naturally.
What makes the Aqualizer™ dental splints a different kind of TMJ treatment?
The answer is simple physics. The Aqualizer™ is a new application of a basic physical law of nature called Pascal’s Law, which states that that an enclosed fluid will apply equalized fluid pressure regardless of where pressure is applied to the fluid. In other words, biting down on the Aqualizer™ causes the fluid to distribute bite forces evenly across the bite, reducing TMJ pressure and pain and ensuring relief. Aqualizer™ dental splints impose no preset changes. By contrast, they enable the body to naturally balance itself, resulting in TMJ pain relief and improved function.
